September 2011

Katten & Temple obtained a $1 million settlement of a Section 1983 and wrongful death suit brought on behalf of the estate of an unarmed man who was shot and killed by a police officer. Katten & Temple argued that the shooting was excessive force and an unreasonable search and seizure under the Fourth Amendment of the United States Constitution.

June 2011

Jeff Tone joined Katten & Temple LLP as a partner in June 2011. Jeff has a stellar financial and commercial trial and appellate litigation track record and we are excited to have him join us.

March 2011

In March 2011, the Illinois appellate court ruled in favor of Katten & Temple's client in a legal malpractice case, reversing dismissal by the trial court.

November 2009

In November 2009, John M. George, Jr. joined Katten & Temple LLP as a partner. John has served as lead counsel in state and federal courts throughout the country and has represented clients at trial, on appeal, and in arbitrations.
